Russian officials say the history of Russian warfare shows that fighting often begins badly until the military can be properly organised. Writing off Russia, they say, is a poor bet.
This
against a smaller and underfunded foe? Uhh, did they remember
Soviet-Afghan war in the 80s? They said the same of the US being
unorganized in WW2 then becoming more organized, but lets be honest it
was the Allies who it applies to. Hell, you could apply it to the
Taliban in the US Afghan war. Disorganized and scared until they became
organized and waited out American patience with slow bleed.
Russia can only overthrow Putin and end the war or accept Putin until the end with the baggage that their country is weak and can't mount a significant offensive at any time they need it with or without threatening nuclear strikes.
Nuke use will hasten the overthrow for sure. Imagine US using a nuke against Afghanistan, now that would've been a national embarrassment. What your over funded military can't handle an underfunded and disorganized foe?
Russia must end the
war without Putin if it wants to save face and elect a leader who uses
military force when they've acquired enough political capital from not
only its people but international partners. Russia's GDP was 10x more
than Ukraine. Ukraine war was for what? Scary neutral Ukraine having a
democracy. 😏 The same Ukraine who borders Russia and made many many
deals with them especially the one where they had and agreement for
protection in lieu of giving them their Soviet nukes.
