Currently going the rounds trying different advertising services. Meta is ass. Google is top notch. Apple is expensive. Reddit is ass, really bad.
Inconsistent Policy Application: Fist off, they don't even tell you what exactl is wrong. Reddit does no checking of username before creating and ad account, so if they feel like your name is infringing on whatever the hell then you are forced to delete your Reddit account and assume the Reddit Ads account was deleted. NO, your reddit ads account is not deleted.
NO, you cannot transfer your Reddit Ads account. You have to contact support to delete it and hope they are telling the truth that it is deleted. Given how totally inflexible it is, they likely have no clue how to and will assume themselves that the account is deleted when the Reddit account is deleted. It's pretty obvious that is not the case and if you search for information on reddit.com for other people who've experienced it, confirmed.
What the hell is wrong with the ads team and why isn't there a way to have a display name instead of an account name showing up on the ad. Dumb as balls. Really bad programming and too optimistic of a software culture. Total trash.
It's funny that the username was a problem that they approved the first ad but the second ad having the same asset as the first was a problem. Inconsistent application of policy. IF in fact the username infringed on anything at all. I do not believe a suffix of _reddit after the company name is infringing on anything.
Buggy Ads Management: Their ads site is buggy AF! From the start! I created my first ad and it kept giving me an error. I navigated back to the dashboard to find every submission was created!!! WTF?! Duplication doesn't even work, I was trying to duplicate ad group and ad, but always run into some weird ass error. You can select options that don't even mix well and will cause an error.
No Replies Support: You wanna reply to a support message? HAHAHA, no you can't. You create another support ticket.
This is a sign of user hostile policies typically with a root cause of bad leadership and a case of not giving a shit.
A Reddit IPO? You must be joking surely.
Yeah, I'm done with that experiment.
