I am fully committed to this new project with the advent of Gemini 2.5 Pro.
This project is an online multiplayer game slated for release on iPhone and Android to start. Subsequently, Epic Store then Steam.
It's written in Dart (Flutter/Flame) and Rust (for backend). Flutter ensures cross platform client availability while Rust ensures focus on logic and high performance.
Project Star-Spangled Phoenix features American caricatures of political figures as cards who have influence. Your objective is to take as much as the field as possible with these cards. Use action and event cards to fundamentally shift the balance of the field. Action cards are triggered immediately upon play and can knock opponent cards off the field or block card placement to deny opponents expansion on the field. Event cards are triggered when conditions allow. Build as much influence as possible using figures from American History. It's U.S. history class refresher but strategically engaging and simple to play.
I don't even need to give the rules for on how to play honestly, this game is so mind numbingly easy that a child could figure it out. After one game, you should have the hang of it. After 3 games, you should have the groove and know how to play. It's the strategy part that is hard to learn.
I've been very excited to work on this, use AI as my assistant here to bang this out and flesh out ideas. Can't wait to get screenshots and gameplay out there for viewing. I know I should be looking for a publisher, but that would take a lot of time I think.
All in all, I am pissed about the political situation in my god damned country and this game is a hard expression at it. Mediocrity has set in, the country has been coasting. The inertia continues to unwind. I fully believe the 2008 crash deeply affected this country and the direction it is headed today. 9/11 traumatized the country, i mean f**k it traumatized me as a kid. It got me more invested in US History which is why I never failed those classes.
The motherf**kers who are throwing this away will pay dearly. I swear to you. This is our damn country, we cannot let those at the tippy top take the reigns away.
