I have released or in the process of releasing 4 products this year. 2 on the civic side, 1 personal and 1 mobile utility. 3 products was the original target, so 4 is above target.
Histakes Game
Hi Stakes Game is the next target product release, which will be interesting as it involves a lot of trigonometry and bits of calculus to figure out how assets will be valued. It's probably a financial mathematician's wet dream just with some fantasy elements to the math. I'm excited about it as it will be my most complicated undertaking yet. Customer acquisition I think will be very easy because of the winning part of the game (not revealed yet) and the fact it is a mobile game, so people can play it where ever and set it down to do other things while their portfolio increases or decreases. It'll be a fun way to compete against others and learn to use the tools of the rich.
HONOR THE LAW
HONOR THE LAW will be the next product on the civic side after NoMo FoMo. This is another idea that spawned from around the beginnining of the year. I think education of the law is a problem for both police and people and an app to address it is needed. Common situations that people get into with cops and the ignorance of the law is what entitles these cops to take advantage. It is beneficial for the cops as they can remind themselves of the law as well as people who they want to enforce a law on. Obviously, there are no guarantees on a cop making a decision to not arrest, but decreasing that likelihood is always a good thing. Courts assume officers are ignorant of the law, but act in good faith of it and I think destroying that wall is better for all. NoMo ignorance and NoMo bad faith.
Launch will have to start with 15 states since each state tends to be different about their laws.
There aren't many civic/legal oriented apps because there isn't much money in them coupled with inefficient expensive engineers who often rely on shitty tools. $60-120 a year is all that is needed to provide the services of said application. This excludes overhead expenses as well. I will likely stick ads into the app and/or require in app purchases to cover costs as well as time spent making sure of maintenance. Customer Acquisition will only be opportunistic since people are apathetic until unlawful actions happens to them, so I expect it to be a yearslong endeavor, which will be good for the long run.
2023
So two ambitious public products are the targets for 2023 because I have to maintain and update several projects and have more ambitious infrastructure projects to do past the ~14 infrastructure products I've already created. 2 is the target, but doesn't stop a 5th or 10th from happening.
Who knows maybe the scalable task management software I built, that I currently use, will be released next year. There just isn't any product like it anywhere and there is demand for it. It should have been the first product I released, but I decided to dog food it instead to make sure I like it enough to release.
