Latest Quarter Revenue results have resulted in a substantial layoff. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Intel is dead. The so called MBAs and what not killed the company. The brain drain that occurred led to very experienced engineers moving off to Apple, Qualcomm, Samsung, Nvidia and etc. Look at the latest f**k up with their latest generation CPUs, 13th and 14th Gen and I almost bought these too. F**ked up the voltage settings and damaged people's processors. Won't even recall the processors. Company as experienced as that is not going to recover. That destroys whatever morale that came with Gelsinger taking the reins.
Gelsinger can save it if he cuts the number of processor products for consumers. This Core renaming is dumb AF. Core and Core Ultra then there is Core 3-9? The f**k? The new names should have been Core E (Energy Saving), Core P (Professionals), Core G (Gamers), Core X (Extreme). They can have only 1-3 model ranges for each. For datacenter (Xeon), they can have the same approach for different sized workloads, none of this vague "entry level server" bs. They seriously need to vastly simplify their product lineup because again, I don't know what to buy when it comes to Intel. With Apple and AMD, I can pick easily what I want.
Intel Atom should only be located in IOT, mobile, small devices. No where near a laptop or server.
They have other business segments (side hustles really) like FPGA, Networking, whatever. Sell them to someone who cares enough.
With AI, they need to give it up and partner up with NVIDIA and AMD to make their cards to vastly decrease their own investment and focus. Get back to basics. Intel was always known as a processor company and it can continue to be. It needs to accept this reality.
They are asking investors to wait out their Intel 20A and 18A process, funny since they are contracting a competing processor manufacturer, TSMC, for their Intel 3 process and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
On track to oblivion because they continue to show, they are out of touch just like Boeing. Just glad to have gotten rid of my INTC shares. INTC is at $25 now. Wooooooooooo boy. NVDA or AMD will be the replacement on the Dow.
INTC dropped to $20, absolutely brutal. If Gelsinger cares and wants to show commitment, he must lower his compensation to $1 voluntarily.
