Released on Google Play, but not Apple yet even though it got reviewed and approved. App Store has a weird bug where it did not want to move itself from "in review" to "ready for distribution" even though the history shows approved build. I dunno, I restarted the review process, but the fact that even happened and could get in that state is... dumb.
I've been playing Xtreme mode a bunch, so added invulnerability when you get hit to Atlas Fury. Sure I was able to survive Xtreme mode and get all Xtreme achievements without that I think it is pretty crazy to get insta killed because a bunch of enemies bunched up and hit you. That of course is a big gameplay change since that changes the balance of the game. I had to lower health packs and increase some enemy damages. I don't think this restores balance, but it is manageable.
For all modes, enemies will get faster and obtain increased health as difficulty increases. That means in Xtreme mode, initial health is increased by 50%, but also enemies won't get as fast or tankier as in the other modes. Endless mode might follow Xtreme mode in the future maybe.
I changed the watch ad button to "earn x credits". Google Play rejected the app because of "Families policy" for "misleading" something something. I nevertheless pulled out of the following the Families policy. Vague rule that any Karen/misguided reviewers can use against apps just because. I can only assume it is that button text since nothing else has changed visually. I don't benefit from following their "families policy", so why should Atlas Fury be bound to it. Approved after I uncommitted.
I don't want these kinds of encumbrances, since work on a RTS PvP multiplayer game has been on going. Server side game engine, in RUST lang, looking really good, needs a lot of work, but a mobile client can communicate with it, so very happy with this so far. Multiplayer is an adventure in distributed databases.
Hopefully get an open beta out. Stop work and move on to the next game and get that to open beta. Gather feedback for the first open beta and work on that and then some. Two real time multiplayer games this year? Bit insane, but they are short fun games in the end that will appeal to many.
Next year, maybe Atlas Fury multiplayer PvP/CoOp. Not sure if Hi Stakes will be out in open beta this year though, but the code from it has been instrumental. Would be crazy to have 3 open betas in one year. 😮💨
